The Sanctuary
In addition to our sanctuary being a place of worship, it is a popular place for concerts and events and is well recognized by musicians and community choirs for its excellent acoustics. It has been used for numerous concerts, live recordings, TV and movie productions.
Special features include:
- Two aisles and a large area at the front that will accommodate choirs, instruments and risers
- An additional open space in the west transcept that can also be used for small groups
- A high vaulted ceiling and richly texted wooden pews
- A Casavant ‘theatre-style’ organ and a Grotian grand piano
- Capacity of up to 350 including floor space and the balcony. The balcony can also be used for video recording, photography and other production needs
- An entrance vestibule with a small adjacent room that can be used as a ‘green room’
- The sanctuary is accessible from Tolmie Street for those requiring a wheelchair.
The Community Hall
The Community Hall provides space where people from the congregation and the community can gather.
Special features include:
- An entrance hall which leads to both the Gymnasium and the Fellowship Room. The Hall is accessible to all with an outside ramp, automatic door and wheelchair accessible washroom. In case of emergency, we are equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED) and a wheelchair.
- The Gymnasium (18m X 12m) can be used for social gatherings and sporting activities
- The Fellowship Room (8m X 8.5m) is a multi-purpose room appropriate for smaller gatherings, receptions and meetings.
- A fully equipped, food-safe kitchen includes 2 stoves and 2 refrigerators.
The Circle Room
The Circle Room (7,5 m x 5 m) is a multi purpose room suitable for small gatherings, meetings or seminars. It is upstairs in the Community Hall.
