Enter into the quiet and depth of Good Friday through a moving Tenebrae (“service of shadows”) worship experience.
In this contemplative service, we will journey with Christ through his final hours, listening to the Seven Last Words from the Cross through scripture, reflective monologues, prayer, and music. As candles are gradually extinguished, the sanctuary will darken, inviting us to dwell in the mystery of suffering, love, and grace.
This year’s service weaves together voices from the Gospel story—those who stood near the cross—offering us a deeply human and spiritual encounter with the passion of Christ.
We gather not to rush toward Easter,
but to remain at the cross—
to listen, to reflect, and to pray.
The service will include:
All are welcome to this sacred time of reflection.
Please note:
The congregation is invited to depart in silence.
