Join us for Peace Sunday Worship on October 25, with guest preacher Shadia Qubti of Trinity-Grace United Church.
In her reflection, Shadia will share her experiences growing up in Nazareth and explore how churches and individuals can support Palestinian women and children affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A Q&A session will follow her talk.

[About Shadia Qubti]
Shadia is a Palestinian Christian from Nazareth and a relative newcomer to Canada. She spent 15 years working in faith-based peacebuilding in Palestine/Israel, focusing on amplifying women’s voices through a variety of initiatives.
Her writing and theology are shaped by her research into Palestinian and North American Indigenous understandings of land—interrelated themes she explored during her master’s studies at the Vancouver School of Theology.
As a theologian, Shadia draws on her lived experiences as a Christian among a Muslim Palestinian majority, a Palestinian among a Jewish Israeli majority, a woman within patriarchal societies, and a newcomer to Canada. These perspectives inform both her published work and her writing in progress.
