Lenten Book Study 2026
Following Jesus: Finding Our Way Home in an Age of Anxiety (Henri Nouwen)
This Lent, you are warmly invited to join a gentle, meaningful journey of discipleship through Henri Nouwen’s Following Jesus: Finding Our Way Home in an Age of Anxiety.
In a noisy and anxious world, Nouwen helps us hear again Jesus’ quiet invitation, rediscover a deeper home in God, and take small, faithful steps toward love, freedom, and joy.
• Dates: Ash Wednesday, February 18 to March 25 (6 sessions)
• Time: 11:00 am–12:30 pm
• Location: Fellowship Room
• Facilitator: Rev. Nam Ok Yoo
• Book: Following Jesus: Finding Our Way Home in an Age of Anxiety (Convergent Books, 2019)
Who is this for?
This study is for anyone who is:
• feeling anxious, tired, or spiritually “too busy”
• longing for deeper connection with God and community
• curious about discipleship in real everyday life
• ready for a gentle Lenten practice, not a heavy burden
Bring your questions. Bring your longing. We will make room for one another and for God.
Special note (first session): The Imposition of Ashes will be offered during our first gathering on Ash Wednesday, Feb 18.
Please let Rev. Nam Ok know if you would like to join.
